After 8 weeks back open we are so pleased to be back in the Boutique doing what we love. Safely adjusting to the new procedures required to safely open have now become norm to keep all our gorgeous brides safe and happy.

We have shared all the emotions of our brides during this unprecedented time. We have felt every ounce of disappointment, the heartbeat of uncertainty and ultimately many a tear of sadness at the prospect of a cancelled or a too long away rescheduled wedding.

We were so pleased to hear a handful of weddings have started to take place again, albeit on a much smaller scale and have loved seeing the snaps of the radiant couples celebrating becoming husband and wife, albeit different to the original plans laid out a year or more ago. Many have now decided to have the permitted smaller scaled wedding and a great party at a later date. We hope of course this is an excuse to wear each beautiful dress again!
We have enjoyed the atmosphere of all our appointments in the boutique - some keeping the new intimacy of 2 guests, others creating a zoom party of 8 or 10! We have been virtually meeting people from as far as New York on these video calls zooming in to the appointment from their skyline flat. From Clifton to Manhattan! Who'd have thought it!? Seeing the Statue of Liberty in the background was a highlight for one bride whose friend simultaneously popped a bottle of fizz on finding her dream dress and joined in the celebrations from their own home.

When excited brides to be have been telling us about their proposal, we have noticed proposal stories so often start with "the plan was... but this is what happened" so although they may have been slightly different to how the proposal may have planned or to what the bride to be may have expected they have been so full of romance. Hearing about these intimate proposals has been really lovely. One nervous groom was hiding an engagement ring under the dining table sellotaped in place for that perfect moment over dinner. Hearing about proposals in the park during torrential rain during the allocated exercise time in lockdown, to watching TV... All of them have solidified that love wins and how good it is to indulge in some great positivity during this time.

During lock down brides seemed to have had a good chance to focus the mind to how they envision their wedding and we have found the focus has made brides very decisive and keen to purchase the dress as soon as they find the one! With so many weddings rescheduled for next year we know 2021 is going to be a busy one, it's a good job we love our coffee as much as our champagne!
